Dream Cars & Celebrities! | Guest Post

Always had a dream car? Well perhaps if you had the money you would chose to invest in this car just like the following celebrities. These celebrities just love their cars, so much so that combined their car collections are worth many hundreds of millions. Let’s look at some of them. Before purchasing any vehicle you should make sure you’re insured properly no matter what car you’re driving!

Mr Bean - aka Rowan Atkinson
Rowan Atkinson, the comedy actor who played Mr Bean, is said to have amassed a fortune of around £65 million and it’s no secret that he has spent a good deal of money on cars. Until recently he owned a McLaren F1 but according to reports since his much publicised accident in it, which it is reported cost his insurance company £930,000 he has now sold it. His collection includes several Aston Martins, a Bentley Mulsanne, a few Rolls Royces, a Lancia Delta Integrale, a Honda Civic Hybrid, an Audi A8, a Mercedes-Benz 500E and until recently a McLaren F1.

Other cars in his collection include a Jaguar D-Type,a Maserati 250F, a Bugatti Type 35, a 1931 Alfa Romeo 8C, a Porsche 962, a Ferrari Enzo, a Ferrari 312 T3, a Ford Model T and a McLaren F1 GTR.

Ralph Lauren - Designer
Ralph Lauren the fashion designer is a multi-billionaire with a famous love of cars so it should be no surprise that his collection is far too extensive to list. It includes around 70 models some of which are exceedingly rare and valuable. Some gems from his collection include a classic Ferrari 250 GTO, a pair of Ferrari 250 Testa Rossas, a Mercedes 300SL, a Lamborghini Reventón, a Bugatti Type 57SC Atlantic, three McLaren F1s, a Porsche 997, and a 1929 Blower Bentley.

It is the second biggest collection of Porches in the world; the biggest collection being owned by Porsche. His collection includes several 911s, ten Boxsters, a 1955 Porsche 550 Spyder and a Porsche 959 of which only 337 were built. He even has a show called comedians in cars getting coffee.

Movies, Doritos & Dips!

Today I wanted to talk about something a little miscellaneous and that being chilling with Movies, Doritos and Dips! I have been wanting to have a night in with a movie or two for the last two weeks and as I have had a busy month, it has been hard to find the time to switch off from work and be able to do this. As we all know sometimes life can get a little hectic and we can get caught up in this but we all need some down time and time to ourselves to unwind and relax.

I think once in a while it doesn’t hurt to enjoy some time to yourselves, so switch off your phones, stay off social networks and just get away from the world and spend time with those you love or don’t get to see to much and just have some time for you.

Jessie J wins at the Mobo Awards | Sweet Talker (Album Review)

Today I am going to review Jessie J's third solo album 'Sweet Talker' which was released earlier this month. As Jessie won a MOBO Award last night for Best Female Act. As I have had this album on repeat since I purchased it. Everyday I have a new favourite. Very rarely will you get an album that you don't skip a few tracks but for me this is one of those albums which has no tracks to skip. Every track is special and has it's own unique story line and concept that everyone can relate to with their own stories and lives.

I have been listening to Jessie J for a couple years now and seen her live twice. I first came across Jessie online when she was on YouTube in her pjs singing 'Big White Room' which was later released on her debut album 'Who You Are', and ever since I have been in awe. Her talent is just simply incredible, from her songwriting, to her vocal scale, to her positivity and realness in herself and her music. The debut album for me really sold Jessie and who she was an artist, in the second album I felt it was a little more commercialised and I guess a little more experimental. So when I picked up 'Sweet Talker' I didn't know what to expect and I was happy to listen and find that it was like her debut album but more 'depth' and as she has grown as an artist, as have I since that first album I think this also makes it more relatable.

My personal favourite tracks on this album at the moment are 'Loud' 'Get Away' and 'Strip'. 'Loud' has been my favourite because I really feel this song when I listen to it and really love how the lyrics have been put together and really portray strong feeling.

With this being said, however I also love the title track 'Sweet Talker' and  another track called 'Masterpiece' as well as these I have loved the track 'You Don't Really Know Me' since it has been online. I didn't think this track would be on the album because it had been released before hand online and I am so glad it was included as it is a beautifully written song and very relatable. I have a lot of respect for Jessie and really do love this body of work. I do think it is the strongest she has put out yet.

You can head over to I-Tunes and grab your copy of Jessie J's album Sweet Talker if you haven't already and let me know in the comments below what you favourite tracks are from the album and recommend any other music I should be listening to.

Anonymity A Poem!

Today’s post is a little more serious compared to my usual content however hopefully just as interesting to read. Earlier this month I came across a blog post by blogger Nicole Eddy called ‘Guess Who’ it spoke on a topic that is becoming more and more relevant to the world we live in everyday. So after reading this I decided this was something I wanted to talk about as well. I know a lot of people will come to experience 'Anonymity' and 'Cyber Bullying', or will know about it or see some form of it online through Social Media and a lot of YouTube comments.

(Disclaimer - Image belongs to blogger Nicole Eddy - You can check out her blog here!

I hope if you take anything from this blog it is simply that everyone in this world will have their own 'problems' their own things they are facing and going through, so it isn't a good idea to take it out on others. Sometimes unfortunately because of this people feel the need to make anonymous accounts online to make themselves feel 'better' and consequently this allows people to feel it is 'okay' to victimise and bully others, probably those who they see as having a 'perfect' life or having a 'good time' or being 'successful'. I think people's judgement can be clouded when it comes to the internet and the fact that what and who we see online and what is broadcasted is only a small amount of who these people actually are, and what their lives entail. In fact a lot of these people are actually creating content and broadcasting for their own lives, for their own escapism.

Try Something New #2 | The Weird Way Around Tour (Doc Brown)

Today I wanted to share with you my second 'Try Something New' blog post. Last Thursday I got to experience a night I don't think I will forget. A night that for me was something truly special. I was lucky enough to attend ‘The Weird Way Around’ tour by comedian and artist Doc ‘Ben Smith’ Brown at The Forum in Kentish Town. I had been to this venue previously a few years back for another event, so was aware that the venue would have a good vibe.

I have always had a love for Hip-Hop/Rap, spoken word and lyricism. This show made me fall in love even more, with the way words can be put together to tell a story. I have loved Doc’s work from the day I was introduced to him, I thought why not take up this opportunity to see him live. I had high expectations as whenever I have seen him on TV or on YouTube I could quite simply have a good laugh so I was expecting nothing but a great show… and let me tell you it did not disappoint.

Around A Year Ago | LILCDESIGNS

Hey everyone,

Today, I wanted to throw it back, reminisce a little as around this time a year ago I actually started my media and design company LILCDESIGNS full time. What I didn’t know at the time was I had already began the journey. I was unaware of the path I would take once UNI was over, and I didn't know that the freelance I was doing would lead me to where I am today and I wouldn’t look back now.

The thing is we are constantly asked what we want to be and what we want to do with our lives, but the truth is somethings just can’t be planned and life is set out and everything in the end will fall into place how its meant to be and you will find out your destiny, your worth, and your place on earth.

In the next year I hope to become nothing but better, more skilled, even more experienced and a lot more known within the industry... maybe win an award or get into a company like mine, who knows. All I know is that what I have learnt is anything is possible, no matter who doubts you, or says you can’t, if you believe you can... you can! That ladies and gentlemen is all you need.

So this month to celebrate over a year of LILCDESIGNS I have been working extremely hard to design, create and come up with original idea’s to show how dedicated I am to my job to show how much I love what I do. To extend my creativity and share my love and passion for designing and creating content... but most importanty to say THANK YOU to anyone I have worked with or who has supported me in the last year, before, and now. Nothing goes unnoticed and nothing is un appreciated. So here's to the next year!

See you Thursday!

Try Something New | Vapiano

Hey everyone,

I am very excited to share today’s blog with you all. Today I wanted to introduce another new idea to my blog in hope for growth in my content and in me as a person. Now we are in October I feel that it is a great time for reflection and change. This month I wanted to try something new... things I have always wanted to do and things I have never done before or even considered. Sometimes I get use to the comfort of what I know, what I do and what I love and who doesn't? I think life should be lived and enjoyed and when we live a little outside our comfort zones, I feel this is where we learn. I love learning. The more we learn and the more we experience is what makes us who we are and what we become. I think thats what life should be about. Growing, Learning, Living and Experiencing - Trying Something New!

So for the first #TSN I went to a restaurant I hadn’t yet been to and that was 'Vapiano'. I love Italian cuisine and would love to visit Italy one day.

Busy Bee Feature & Sierra Wanamaker ATI!

Hey everyone,

So today I wanted to firstly talk about my second company feature which is on Busy Bee’s website.

I love their design, colour scheme, it is fresh, young and exciting, as is their motto. "Sometimes It's Hard To Make A Buzz'

I have previously been featured on Youth Media Agency. I love being featured on company website's that I believe have a positive message and are doing good in the industry. It is important to collab with like minded companies and creatives.

I have really enjoyed a lot of collars this month on a number of projects and I think this is really inspiring when you work well with people and you have the same visions/you can bring their visions to life. I look forward to continuing to work with Busy Bee.

You can check out my feature on their website here!

Secondly I want to let you all know that there’s another ATI Video live on my YouTube Channel with the incredibly talented Sierra Wanamaker from the USA. It was a pleasure to work with Sierra and to take ATI Worldwide! I think the internet is global and it is important to show the talent of the world not just those in the UK.

I actually came across Sierra through YouTube when I saw her collaborate with Jake Miller I was blown away by the talent so thought I would get in contact. I was lucky enough for Sierra to write an original song for the series and I absolutely love it! I have a lot planned for ATI this month and I am excited to keep you posted with this web series.

Sierra ATI - Original You're Worth It!

Thank you for all your love & support!

I-Tunes Festival With Jessie J!

Today I wanted to talk to you about something I have always wanted to do and was lucky enough to get to go to last week. Of course that is the I-tunes Festival. Every year since the I-tunes Festival started I've applied for tickets and only won once which was for a band who I wasn't into so at the time I didn't end up going.

The older I get, the more music influences my day to day life... so when my friend told me she had won tickets for Jessie J at the I-tunes Festival and invited me to go I was super excited! We arrived at the venue and had to wait around for an hour to be let inside, once we got inside we were directed to the top of The Roundhouse. We could not of had a better view from where we were standing. I had never been to The Roundhouse before however I knew it was an iconic venue and was blown away by the structure, sound quality and intimacy.

This was my second time in seeing Jessie J live and she was just as incredible if not better then before. It is such an experience to be able to witness such talent in such an intimate setting and I always appreciate the smaller shows that such big artists do.

Jessie performed a range of old and new song's. One of my favourite moments of the show was when she came to the front of the stage with her guitarist and did a small acoustic set with just her and a guitar. For me acoustic music is definitely my favourite, the raw, real, emotion it portrays gives the lyrics more essence and feeling then say a studio version.

You can watch some of my I-tunes Festival experience here.
