Overnight EP Review!!

Get out of your head...

I found this quote online earlier this month and I really wanted to put it somewhere, so I thought I would put it on my blog. I feel like this is a great space to put things that resonate with me and a place for things to put that not always work related but are still "me" in one some way.

Blog Re Design & Why I Started Blogging? #2015
So 2015... is here, Happy New Year! Firstly I wanted to mention my new blog design if you haven't noticed it already. I absolutely love it and I have been meaning to make my blog a little more user friendly and interactive for a while now but with work and everything else, I never got round to it. So I took some time over the Holidays at the end of year to do this.
Now onto today's blog post which I'll be honest, I have been deliberating on as I didn't know which post to start this year with, having some time of reflection and a lot of idea's and content around this, I didn't know where to start. However, I knew I wanted to remind myself on the reasons why this blog came about and what I want to do with this blog and where I am heading. Over the last couple of months I have been doing a fair amount of product reviews, this is something I never set out to do. I set out this blog to share my creative work with potential clients and to collaborate with other creatives. I wanted a place other then my website to share diverse content, ideas and thoughts as I never had anywhere else to put these. So I created this online space for myself.

What Makes Me Happy? // Diary Entry #1
Dear Diary,
So today is Saturday 13th of December 2014 and today I am writing my very first diary entry. If you haven't guessed by the title my entry is going to be about happiness and what makes me happy. I have curated a list of things that make me happy...
My Job
The first thing in my list is my job, editing, designing and creating is something I absolutely love and something that makes me happy so to be able to do this as my job is incredible! For me being creative and just using creativity enables you to express yourself in different ways and I love that and find happiness in doing so - I think this is why I am really enjoying blogging at the moment and trying different types of content and ideas like this diary entry.
Positivity
I try to incorporate positivity and optimism throughout my views in life and online, as I feel it is important to be this way and as this is who I am. We all have our "down days" and "sad times" but by cutting out unneeded negativity and even just reading some positive quotes every morning can change the outlook we have on things and help us see other perspectives. Personally though sometimes harder then it seems, I always try to find one good thing to come out of every bad situation, to learn and grow as a person.
Songwriting
Songwriting is another form of writing, thoughts, feelings, ideas and this is something that also makes me happy. I have recently started playing the guitar and finding beats for both editing and songwriting. So I can learn even more about this. Songwriting for me is fun and as I constantly listening to the way others write. I find it interesting the way words can be put together to say something. Songwriting is incredibly inspiring and something I love whether thats listening, reading others work or writing my own work.

The Thirst Project!
Hey everyone,
So today I wanted to write a blog post about 'The Thirst Project' inspired by YouTube sensation Connor Franta.
To this date, one of my most popular blog posts was the one I did on filmmakers Jack and Finn Harries when they did 'The Rickshaw Run' for Teenage Cancer Trust last year in September which you can watch on YouTube or read more about below.
This specific Prizeo Campaign is for a company known as 'The Thirst Project'. With one billion people in the world not having access to safe, clean drinking water and proper sanitization. The project started with the question "What could one person really do?". The truth is one person could provide clean water for a lifetime for just $25. One person can do so much for someone else, in a less fortunate position then themselves.
I was really surprised at how informative this video was and it kind of put things into perspective for me. A little like a reminder to let me know my own blessings... such as the simplicity of having access to clean water. I think people tend to forget and take things for granted. If you take anything from this blog, then know that everything in your life is a blessing and that someone somewhere wishes to have what you have. Whether its a roof over your head, a bed, clean water, food, health, education or something else.
See you Saturday

So yesterday was Connor's birthday and he launched his Prizeo campaign as his birthday wish - his wish was simply to help the lives of others! I thought this was incredible and such a beautiful concept. I feel passionate about charity work and people using their platforms to do better or to do good in this world, I think it is a very plausible thing no matter how big or small the difference you make. Whether you donate $1 or $10000, everything counts and I think that it's important to spread the word about things you believe in supporting.

Seven Seas, Seven Swims, One Reason!
Hey everyone,
Today's blog is a little different to usual, but I think it is important to experiment with content. I want to try out new idea's on my blog, to see what works and what doesn't. So today I wanted to write about something that I have not really thought about too much until I started watching this campaign that is currently going on across the world, shown and documented on YouTube and in newspapers over the world.
Ocean advocate and British endurance swimmer 'Lewis Pugh' is currently under taking 'Seven Swims', in seven sea's around the world. Today he will finish the seventh swim in London in the North Sea.
The reason he is doing this campaign is for 10% of the world’s seas - both around countries and on the high seas - to be declared marine protected areas by 2020 to safeguard fish and other wildlife.
Lewis Pugh is very inspirational, he is another example of someone who is chasing after their dreams and doing what they love and what they want to do. Not only is he doing this but he is doing this for a good cause, something he believes in, something that we know needs to change. I think it is important to be an example to others, to do your own thing and do something to try and make a difference to raise the profile for environmental issues. Lewis has inspired me greatly with this campaign, to continue to do my own thing and continue believing and working hard.

“If we don’t do something about it, we’re going to be living in a world devoid of wonder and beauty, and frankly not sustainable. If we’ve achieved it on land, we can do it in the sea.”

I think the web series that has been created alongside the campaign, shows the dedication and passion of the team that are working on it and it elements the reason behind the seven swims. I think it beautifully shot and edited by film maker Ben Brown a former YouTuber, who's work is ever growing and always beautiful to watch!
I would advise you to check out the web series and learn more about Oceans and Conservation. You can watch the latest of the Swim's here!

Aspire To Inspire Update | August 2014!
Hey everyone,
So as you may or may not know I have been busy filming and editing video's for my Web Series 'Aspire To Inspire' this time around for the #summersessions. I am excited to announce that the series is now BACK and better then before!
I previously had taken some time out from the series to concentrate on becoming a Web Designer, learning new skills, techniques and programmes to expand my knowledge and further my career as a media company owner. With this being said, I have been excited to get back out there and start searching for new talent to share with you on ATI.

The first video of the series is with the talented Mila Falls, which came out yesterday. The response so far has been really positive and I am really excited to share this video with you as it is different to anything else I have done before.
Here are some behind the scenes photo's from filming with artists.

Places To Explore | The City Of Bath
Today I am proud to announce my new web series 'Places To Explore'. I wanted to create another Web Series where I could share the wonders of the world and places I enjoy going to with you! I think sometimes we get use to where we live and we don't always appreciate it as much as we should. When I go away to other places, I often find that I realise how lucky I am to live in the beautiful city of London.
'Places To Explore' is a Web Series that will enable me to not only share my favourite places but to allow me to be a little more spontaneous and explore places that I haven't yet been!
But for this #PTE episode I am actually going to show you another City that I visited last weekend! The City Of Bath and the beautiful quiet town of 'Cheddar'. I visited the Roman Baths and Cheddar Gorge, I particularly enjoyed this trip to the countryside and the insight into the way other people live and their different lifestyle's compared to mine.

Career Update | New Website
Hey everyone,
If you do not follow me on twitter then you may not have seen that my brand new website is now live!
I decided to change my domain from lilcdesigns.org to lilcdesigns.com as I felt this was a better representation of me as a company and I wanted this to be shown in my URL. This website has been one of my learning curves - and I am proud of how it has turned out. I think this has opened my eyes to doing Web Design as a full time job.
There were a few problems that seemed not to be solvable with my lilcdesigns.org website the main problem was that it was not easily accessible on tablets and phones, so this made it hard for people to view on the go. I found this could have put of potential clients. I also felt it was very regimented in that every page had the same layout and for me that was something I felt restricted me in designing, and portraying my work in the best possible way. Also currently on trend at the moment is 'parralex scrolling' it is interactive and cool and I wanted it on my new website!
In regards to my Aspire To Inspire series there will be a new video out tomorrow, and I am planning a lot more for my YouTube Channel. I want to produce better content and grow a bigger audience on there, whether this be through more videos or new ideas.
I personally feel like this has been a great success in achieving what I wanted to do.
Thank you all so much for supporting me in what I do, I hope you like my new website. Let me know your thoughts, in the comments or send me a tweet - I would really appreciate feedback.

After six months of working on becoming better at what I do and honing my craft. I decided it was time to learn a new software programme 'Adobe Muse CC', to redesign and launch a brand new website from the ground up. The first and main reason for this was because I wanted to start getting into web design, and I knew that in doing this I would be able to provide my clients with a full package of branding for their business.I decided to change my domain from lilcdesigns.org to lilcdesigns.com as I felt this was a better representation of me as a company and I wanted this to be shown in my URL. Taking Your Side | Lyric Video
Hey everyone,
So today I am going to share with you a little update into what I have been up to in term's of my career. So for the last week I am pleased to tell you that I have been on working on a new Lyric Video which is now up on artist 'Jordan Morris' youtube channel.
It was a pleasure to work on Jordan Morris's single 'Taking Your Side' featuring 'Dappy', I really enjoyed working on this song and it has been great to see it rise through the charts so far, since its release on Monday. I really believe Jordan Morris will be a name to watch out for this year as he has a lot of talent to share with the world.

Becoming A Better Person | Career Update!
Hey everyone,
So today I want to share with you the video montage I created from the Soccer Six event.
This week I have spent a lot of my time editing and filming for my series and other events. However aside from this I have decided it is time to start learning again, and expand my skills. I feel that learning is essential in the growth of our character, career prospects and when working within an industry that is always growing and developing new technologies/software. It is important to keep up to date with everything going on.
So today I want to share with you the video montage I created from the Soccer Six event.
